This project saw the refurbishment of a Victorian Gothic College, built in 1865 by the Bristol’s Merchant Venturers. Creating 49 apartments as well as 10,000 cubic feet of A3 commercial space in a thriving area of Bristol, the developers turned to Wohr to design and install a parking solution that would optimise the available basement space.

The building had a series of structural columns running throughout, which restricted the available area for conventional vehicle parking to just 9 spaces. We therefore delivered a solution which incorporated both our Combilift and Parklift systems. Combilift 551 provides24 parking spaces, using a combination of vertical stacking and lateral sliding technology, with the remaining available floor space being fully utilised by two Parklift 411 vertical stacking systems. These units provide four additional spaces through separate, single width, double level units.
